Depends on he version of PowerPoint your using. As an alternative you can link
from one presentation to another, regardless of the vintage. see "Linking in PowerPoint" http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00193.htm -- Please post all follow-up questions/replies to the newsgroup Email unless specifically requested will not be opened Do Provide The Version Of PowerPoint You Are Using Do Not Post Attachments In This Newsgroup Michael Koerner [MS PPT MVP] "R. Thanks. I am using office 2000. I am to combine several powerpoints into one
then send the whole as a single attachment via e-mail. (I am a student, and this is part of an internet assignment.) "Michael Koerner" wrote: Depends on he version of PowerPoint your using. You may have to ask the instructor for clarification of the assignment and the
requirements of the course. If the instructor is assuming that all students are using PowerPoint 2002 or 2003 then you may not be able to complete the assignment as defined, because linking them together doesn't make them a single file. However, in PowerPoint 2000 you can do the following: 1. Create a 1 slide presentation and title the slide "Main" or "Menu". 2. Go to Insert Object. Then check the box that says "Create from File". Browse to the first presentation that needs to be included. DO NOT click the link box. 3. On the main slide, re-size the slide object that appears and make it smaller like a thumbnail. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the second presentation. 5. Save the main presentation. 6. Play the presentation and you'll see that when you click on one of the thumbnails, the associated presentation will open. When you play through the presentation to the end, you are returned to the menu. 7. Send the main presentation via email. The other two presentations are embedded in that file. -- Sonia Coleman Microsoft PowerPoint MVP Team Autorun Software, Templates and Tutorials "R. Barnes" wrote in message news Thanks. What Sonia says.
My only concern would be with "Several PowerPoint's into one" Depending on the size of your presentations. You could very well exceed the limits for email attachments. -- Please post all follow-up questions/replies to the newsgroup Email unless specifically requested will not be opened Do Provide The Version Of PowerPoint You Are Using Do Not Post Attachments In This Newsgroup Michael Koerner [MS PPT MVP] "R. Thank you for your comments. He says his server will handle it. If I have to
I will send a few at a time. I had to power-point each chapter of the text (16) each 5 to 6 slides with animation and graphics. This isn't even a technology class!
