Default Automatic url detection

Outlook / Outlook Express uses the mshtml control in edit mode. It does
automatic url detection i.e. typing www.microsoft.com automatically makes it
a link.

I want to extend the mshtml control to automatically detects a certain list
of words (not necessary urls) and turns them to hyperlinks. How can I do
this?

The following link has all of what little information is available about
programming for Outlook Express:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...e/oe_entry.asp

As you will notice, there is very little helpful information. Most
programmers resort to "hacking" and trying their programming efforts to see
what may or may not work. Good luck.

Is this for message that you are sending or receiving?

If you are sending plain text messages, nothing is modified in the message. It just looks
like a link on the sender's end. Whether or not it is a link on the recipient's end.

With XP SP2 and Read All Messages in Plain Text selected, MSHTML is not used, but rather
RICHED.
