importing in Business Contact Manager
Hi,
I have searched for the solution but was not able to find. Therefor this posting. I have recently installed MS Office 2003 Small Business Edtion with Business Contact Manager for Outlook. Once installed i have imported some data (.xls) that was availed from another application ie oldfile1.xls. Importing the data went fine. After discussion we decided to perform another import but using different field name headers, adding and deleting fields in the xls file. We created another .xls file ie newfile1.xls. Started up the import wizard in Outlook2003: File Import/Export Buisness contact Manager Import file, clicked on next Excel Workbook 11 (.xls), clicked on next at the "file to import" field we browsed to and selected newfile1.xls and option "import duplicates" selected, clicked on next One can now select the import data by marking it in the "Import data" field and then map accordingly. I have noticed that once you already have performed this and want to make use of another file name in the "Import data" field, the old file name cannot be removed. It referres to "oldfile1" whereas i want to make use of "newfile1". I have tried with "clear" but this only clears the mapping. Also tried deleting the database thourgh the "Business Database maintenance/properties". How can i remove the old referrence "oldfile1" in the import data wizard so i can import using "newfile1"? many thanks in advance FPE |

You might want to post this in microsoft.public.outlook.bcm for assistance.
