Default Cannot Open Outlook 2002

My husband gave me the iPAQ h6315 (pocket pc) for my birthday this month. I
have
installed ActiveSync and Outlook 2002 on my notebook computer (uses Win ME).
The installation went fine as did the hardware recognition, etc. I even have
the Outlook icon on my notebook desktop. However, when I try to access
Outlook, it tells me that Microsoft Outlook requires Outlook Express 4.01 or
greater then goes on to tell me how to install Outlook Express. Outlook
Express 5.50 is alive and operating on this notebook computer but I have no
idea how to get Outlook 2002 to recognize that fact.

I also ran into a brick wall with support for this unit. HP sent me to
T-Mobile. But, to get the T-Mobile support, I have to subscribe to their
phone/web service. My area does not have T-Mobile yet so I don't want to
subscribe to a service I won't be using until it is available in my area. I
love the unit but I can't imagine having something that costs this much and
not being able to get support for it.

Thanks for any insight anyone can give me on using Outlook 2002 on my
notebook for this pocket pc.
