Maintaining colors of Drawing Tools objects
I have a very large collection of "Drawing Objects" created in MS PowerPoint
2003. In most cases, there are multiple graphics saved as a file with only one slide. Having moved up(?) to MS PowerPoint 2007 I decided to save all my old files in the new .pptx format. While re-arranging many of the graphics into different slides I noted that in many cases the fill and line colors would drastically change when pasted into the new slide. I further discovered that this same thing actually occurs when creating a graphic (Drawing Object) in one 2007 presentation and simply pasting it into another 2007 presentation. Experimenting, I found that it has something to do with "THEMES". I found a related query in this forum "PowerPoint General Question" by joe_btfsplk on 6/13/2007, but the answers only related to importing entire slides... I want to be able to copy and paste individual graphic creations (complex grouped Drawing Objects) from multiple presentations into one new presentation WITHOUT having any of the colors changing. With the 2003 version this is not an issue... what am I missing with 2007? |
