Default Outlook 'out of office assistant' option has vanished

Hi, I have office 2007/vista professional and my out of office assitant
option is no longer on the 'tools' drop down box, or any other drop down for
that matter ...anyone seen this or know how to fix it.
thx Mike

Assuming that you are online/connected to the Exchange server, then I would
check and see if it has been disabled. This is done via Help Disabled
items button.

If it isn't listed, might check to see if it marked to be loaded. This is
done via the Trust Center Addins Change manage drop down at bottom to
Exchange client extensions Go button. The two Exchange extensions are
what brings OOA in.

Only other thing I can think of is that the menu option has been removed or
hidden. (Office menus can collapse and this is denoted by a double chevron
at the bottom of the menu. Menu options can be added/removed by right
clicking on a menu and selecting customize.)
