Please tell me how to find a blank page to write on?

With my previous computer I clicked the "W" (word) icon,
and the blank page appeared.
With my new sophisticated computer, XP Professional I can
find almost everything, except a simple blank page.

I need the page, and the headers giving options of size
of type, type of type, plain or bold, underlined, colors,
etc.

Are you saying that when you start Word, you are not getting a blank
document? How are you starting Word? Do you even have Word installed on your
computer?
