Default how can I open an older powerpoint file in powerpoint 2002?

I have a few .ppt files that were created in an Office 98 environment.

When I open them up in Powerpoint 2002 I can read the titles on the charts,
but all the graphs are inverted.

Know of any way to convert or import these files, to be readable?

Thanks, John
