Default OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6.0 DOES NOT DELETE - INBOX

OUTLOOK EXPRESS 6.0 DOES DELETE SOMETIMES, BUT AFTER I
DELETE 3 OR 5 E-MAILS I CAN NOT LONGER DELETE ANYMORE
EMAILS FROM THE INBOX. I HAVE TO RE-ESTAR THE COMPUTER SO
I CAN DELETE MESSAGES AGAIN. LATELY EVEN IF I RE-START IT
WON'T DELETE. I TRIED DOWNLOADING AGAIN OUTLOOK AGAIN.
WHICH IT SOLVED ONLY FOR A FEW MOMENTS. ANYBODY WHO WILL
HELP ME PLEASE,

THANKS

Your Cap's Lock button is stuck too!

First, move any mail you want to save from the Inbox to a folder
*you* create. Then:

ToolsOptionsMaintenanceStore folder will reveal the location
of your Outlook Express files. Press the Tab key to highlight the
folder location, then Ctrl+C. Close OE, then StartRunCtrl+V will
put the location in the box - Click OK and you'll see the OE files.
Otherwise, write the location down and navigate to it in Windows
Explorer.

In WindowsXP, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable
Show Hidden Files and Folders under StartControl PanelFolder
OptionsView.

With OE closed, find the DBX file for the folder in
question {Inbox.dbx} and delete it. A new one will be created
automatically when you open OE.

Do not archive mail on default OE folders. They will eventually
become corrupted. Create your own user defined folders for storing
mail and move your mail to them. Empty Deleted Items folder
regularly.

After you are done, follow up by compacting your folders manually
while working *offline* and do it often.

FileWork Offline (or double click Working Online in the Status Bar).
FileFolderCompact all folders.

In ToolsOptionsMaintenance: Uncheck Compact messages in background
and leave it unchecked.

First of all, your keyboard appears to be broken.

Second.
It sounds like your deleted items folder is corrupt.
Tools/options/maintenance/store folder and note the location. Close OE.
In Windows Explorer navigate to the place you noted. Find and delete
"deleted items.dbx". A new, empty folder will be created when you next
open OE.
(Note that you may have to enable "show hidden files and folders" via
control panel/folder options/view before you can locate and delete the
file in Windows Explorer.) Use this link for explanations as to how this
may have happened and for maintenance of OE.
