Print 100% of page
How do I print a page, with a picture that I have inserted to a word 2003
doc. Then stretched to fit, up/down, left/right, to fit 100% of the page exactly. Then print with no white gaps on any sides. I have selected 0" for the margins and ignored the fix it tab, slected Bordeless Letter and 0"for headers. Still no luck. |

The big question is whether your printer is capable of printing to the edge
of the paper. Most are not. The fact that Word is offering to "fix" your settings when you print suggests that your printer is not one of the more expensive printers that can do this kind of printing. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "Mark Callahan" wrote in message ... Most printers aren't capable of printing all the way to the edge of the paper. They require some unprintable area for paper handling. Ones that can print "full bleed" usually can do so only in a photo mode that's set through the printer's Properties dialog, not through Word. The alternative is to trim the paper after printing -- that's how commercial printshops do it. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Print 100% of page
Hi Herb,
Thanks for the reply. I have printed to the edge of the paper with some other tests (pictures) where the pic file is short and fat (prints to both side edges) then tall and skinny (prints to top & bottom edges). So I know that the printer can do it. I have had a minor develpoment in that when I choose "Print" and then go to "Properties" I have now selcected "Scale To Fit" and this has helped a little. The picture then does not move on the page but has a slim white border around the whole picture. I still would like not to have this blankness around the edges but have the remainder of the picture that this cuts away. ???? Thanks, Mark "Herb Tyson [MVP]" wrote: The big question is whether your printer is capable of printing to the edge of the paper. Most are not. The only other thing I can think of would be to check in your printer
properties to see if there is a "borderless" print option.Using a Canon Pixma printer, that option is in Properties - Page Setup, under Page Layout. Locations/availability of printing options varies by printer/manufacturer. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "Mark Callahan" wrote in message ...
