Why do clip art pictures disappear after printing in publisher?
I've created a flyer in publisher. It prints fine the first time. I then go
back to change some of the text(dates, locations, etc.) and when I try to print the new flyer the clip art pictures do not print are are erased from the screen. If I double click on the clip art and insert the picture again, then it will print again, but only once. So, I have to insert the clipart every time before printing. Is there a way to make the clip art pictures a permanent par of the document that does not disappear once the document is printed? |

Why do clip art pictures disappear after printing in publisher
I have the same problem. Changing video card settings doesn't fix it.
Drivers are nvidia's latest (Aug, 2006) but had problem with older drivers as well. clip art is not just not displayed, it is erased after the first print command is completed. All that is left is the frame that it was inserted into. Copy and paste to another publication yields the same empty frame. Not all my publications do this. Clip art images are downloaded from Microsoft on-line collection into Clip gallery 5.0 and inserted from there. Why do clip art pictures disappear after printing in publisher
Have you considered your printer driver? Publisher saves all printer information
in each file. If your driver is failing, it could be the reason for your issue. It is always advisable to completely remove your driver before installing/reinstalling. Why do clip art pictures disappear after printing in publisher
Here is an interesting aspect of this problem.
If the pictures in the gallery, downloaded from the on-line Microsot site, are inserted to the publisher document as clip art they are lost after the first printing of a freshly created or loaded document. If the pictures are inserted in the document as pictures (a seperate choice on the insert menu and requiring that the images are found without the visual suport of the clip galleray) they are not lost after the first printing. (The objects in question are jpeg files). What is the difference between these two processes? -- Jim "Mary Sauer" wrote: Have you considered your printer driver? Why do clip art pictures disappear after printing in publisher
Could be your Organizer need compacting. Open the Organizer from start,
Microsoft Office Tools, when the Organizer opens, tools, compact. If you are using the Organizer, a detect & repair will help. If you have the Gallery, right-click any image in the catalog, click restore. You may have run out of space in the Organizer/Gallery. It helps to know what version you are using. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com http://officebeta.iponet.net/en-us/p...649111033.aspx "Jim" wrote in message ...
