Output Report RTF to Word - Margin Help
I have a number of reports that ouptput to a network share in RTF (Rich
Text Format). The reports all have a report header and footer, a page header and footer, a group header and footer, and a detail section. Here's my problem...I am working with Microsoft Access 97--my Access 97 application outputs the report to the network share. Meanwhile, I have Microsoft Word 2000 installed on my computer. I have already checked the left and right margins of the report(s) accordingly. I have even checked the top and bottom margins--this is where I'm at. For some unknown reason, if I output a report with a 1 inch margin all around, there are blank pages intermittently throughout each of the reports. If I reduce the top and/or bottom page margins while the document is open in Microsoft Word 2000 by '0.5' an inch --then everything works great. I can reduce the top margin by '0.5' or I can change the top and bottom margin by '0.25' each, totally '0.5' an inch. So something is astray. So I think to myself, just go change the margin in the report so it will output correctly--no such luck. Even after reducing the top margin by '0.5', there are still blank pages intermittently throughout the report(s). But if I reduce the top and/or bottom page margin by '0.5' while I have the report open in Microsoft Word 2000, then everything is aligned appropriately and I get no blank pages. Any help would be greatly appreciated at this point. Thanks in advance, Todd |
