How do I increase the size of the actual pie chart within the box created for it. The actual 'pie' takes up a tiny portion of the box.

What version of Publisher are you using? I wasn't aware that Publisher could
create pie charts anyway.

Depending on your version of Publisher. Select the chart, either use the cropping
tool to reduce the white space, or if it is a vector, ungroup and delete the bounding
box, you then can resize it.

I assume you're using the Mirosoft Graph Chart object?

To edit the areas, you need to double-click the chart object to open it.
One thing you can do is select the plot area (click in a white area near the
chart), giving you drag handles with which you can resize the plot.
Another thing you can do on a 3-D pie is adjust the 3D view - right-click an
empty area of object (not so near to the chart this time) and select 3D
View.
