Default Excel: protect author information

One of my Excel users has created a .xlt excel template and to distrabute
within our company. They have asked me if it is possible to protect the
name of the author and company name within the file?

Can anybody help answer this?

What do you mean by protect it, copyright notice, hide it, or stop it being
changed?
