Default Drag and Drop field onto calendar

OK, here is what I would like to create. A form that is filtered on
the left for all outstanding work by different criteria (suervisor,
stage, helicopter, station...) (Mostly complete already). I want to
color code this form by restraints holding the work from being done
(material short, awaiting engineering dept, awaiting quality dept,
common hardware short...). I then want the supervisor/scheduler to be
able to see a two week rotating calendar on the left side of the
screen where he/she can grab a open job and drop onto a day he wants
to schedule the item. Once dropped, a pop-up screens comes up and
asks for technician name/number and verify start date. After he/she
goes thru the whole list they are then able to print a report that
shows the two weeks along the top with the technicians along the left
and the cells colored in along with job name for the dates the
technician was scheduled. Is this a possibility? If so, is there any
examples of this out in the wilds?
