Default Inserting e-mail address via 'To' button

Hi all

Can anyone explain why the following happens.
I am using MS Outlook 2003 on W.XP with SPK2. All of contacts our saved
with the Surname showing first as an old style paper address book.
However when I want to enter a recipient e-mail address in a n e-mail (one
I haven't used before), I click on the To: button in the address bar - I have
to click on 'Contacts' in the Select Names From the: list (Outlook Address
Book choice gives a blank list).
The list that appears then shows most of my contacts - not all (why not
all?) and they appear filed in alphabetical order of First names - not
surnames? Also every e-mail address & phone number that the contact has is
shown - not just the e-mail addresses.

Anyw help to rectify this would be appreciated.

The address book view only shows electronic addresses, not all Contacts.
Instructions for sorting the address book view are posted here daily.
Go to Tools E-mail accounts View or change existing directories or
address books Outlook Address Book Change… Set your sort order there
