Default I cannot get MW to sort by last name when name is typed First Nam.

I absolutely cannot get the sort function to work. I want to sort by last
name a list of names that are typed First Name Last Name. What am I doing
wrong?

What "sort function" are you speaking of? How are you executing it?

First and last names should be in separate fields. Then your problem
disappears.

I'll risk a wild guess. By 'MW' do you perhaps mean Microsoft Word? If so,
you'll increase your chances of getting a useful answer by asking the
question in a Microsoft Word newsgroup - this is a Microsoft Access
newsgroup.

The spammers and script-kiddies have succeeded in making it impossible for
me to use a real e-mail address in public newsgroups. E-mail replies to
this post will be deleted without being read. Any e-mail claiming to be
from brenreyn at indigo dot ie that is not digitally signed by me with a
GlobalSign digital certificate is a forgery and should be deleted without
being read. Follow-up questions should in general be posted to the
newsgroup, but if you have a good reason to send me e-mail, you'll find
a useable e-mail address at the URL above.
