Default How do I insert equation a1 x e1 in table?

I cannot figure out how to use the equation editor for this simple
calculation. I have a word table and wrote the equation =a1 x e1 but had a
syntax error.

Hi Teach,

To see how to do this and a wide range of other calculations in Word, check out my Word Field Maths 'tutorial', at:

If you are trying to put a formula into a Word table, use * as the
multiplication operator.
