What is the role of business requirements analysis in network analysis and
design?

business requirements drive IT requirements (usually considered to be a set
of applications, locations, and operations), which drive the network troika
(topology, technology, traffic). Then of course you have to include security
(policies, procedures, technology) and systems management (organization,
processes, and tools). Obviously this answer is so short as to trivialize
the process..
