converter failed to save the file
I'm trying to use the 2007 file converter for 2003, and I keep getting
"converter failed to save the file" error everytime I try to open a 2007 file - prior to this it tells me that it cannot find the file, then trys to convert it ("File conversion in progress"), then gives me "converter failed to save the file"... All the updates are installed - what's going wrong...! Microsoft gives no clues on this... |

Just, a thought but have you tried cleaning out the Temporary Internet
Files? (Control Panel, Internet Options, General, Delete files) k1sr wrote: I'm trying to use the 2007 file converter for 2003, and I keep getting "converter failed to save the file" error everytime I try to open a 2007 file - prior to this it tells me that it cannot find the file, then trys to convert it ("File conversion in progress"), then gives me "converter failed to save the file"... Does the file actually reside in a folder you have rights to? If an
e-mail attachment, have you saved it first? Is your anti-virus interfering and attempting to scan the file, and thereby locking it out? Check to be sure the default program to open the file is the program that is
supposed to be used. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. The problem I ran into was because the file was trying to open with XML Editor, Not Excel. Could the file be too big? I'm having the same trouble, but I'm trying to
open a really large file. "Gallagher" wrote: Check to be sure the default program to open the file is the program that is supposed to be used. converter failed to save the file
In Access, I received the converter failed to save the file error message when attempting to create an Excel spreadsheet from a form. I was able to avoid the error by opening Excel before creating the spreadsheet. -- dreyerro ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dreyerro's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/117513.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/ms-office...rt/1012642.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
