Not sure this is even Outlook doing it. Logon as a different user and see if
the same thing happens.

Russ,
Please excuse the ignorance, but how do I do this.? I dont understand the
"user" thing at all. I bought a new computer a few weeks ago, and it is all
so different from the old one.

Too hard to explain if you're not familiar with different Outlook profiles
or Windows user logons. We might be able to tell something from this: What
exactly do you mean by "Sent items looks fine on one, but not good on the
other?" Are you seeing two different messages sent each time? What doesn't
look good?

Default Distribution List sending duplicate emails

When I view the sent items folder it is fine.
However the contacts in the DL are receiving two emails. One is fine,
attachments & messages are perfect, and show as coming from me, followed by
my email address.
The other shows no attachments, and the reading pane is full of garble. This
shows as coming from my email address only.
When I first set up the computer, I did have two Users, however as I didnt
know what I was doing, and things got messy, I deleted the 2nd user & just
use the one.
I know I am being a pain, but I really am appreciating your assistance.

Attachments? When did attachments ever enter into this picture? You never

Could you please provide full disclosure on what you are doing and stop

Sorry, don't mean to lead anyone on a wild goose chase, or abuse the system.
I am merely seeking assistance.
Regardless of whether I send the DL attachments (PDF or Word format) or
simply a message, the result is the same.

When I view the sent items folder it is fine.
However the contacts in the DL are receiving two emails. One is fine,
attachments & messages are perfect, and show as coming from me, followed
by
my email address.

What
exactly do you mean by "Sent items looks fine on one, but not good on the
other?" Are you seeing two different messages sent each time? What
doesn't
look good?

Russ,
Please excuse the ignorance, but how do I do this.? I dont understand
the
"user" thing at all. I bought a new computer a few weeks ago, and it is
all
so different from the old one.

My e-mail account is a POP/SMTP - is that what you mean?
I have not added a signature or a rule for any messages.
I have disabled virus scanning for outgoing e-mails.

Also,
look
at
things you may be doing to these messages that would affect the
message
as
it is being sent such as:
1. Adding a signature that cannot be rendered
2. Using virus scanning on email.
3. Setting a rule for outgoing messages.

Might

I added each member from scratch. They were not already in

DL's normally will not survive an import from OE. Have you

I am new at this, so please bear with me. Recently

When I
send an email, all the recipients are receiving two
emails,
one

Please help me, as this is becoming extremely
embarassing

Sorry, don't mean to lead anyone on a wild goose chase, or abuse the
system.
I am merely seeking assistance.
Regardless of whether I send the DL attachments (PDF or Word format) or
simply a message, the result is the same.

Attachments? When did attachments ever enter into this picture? You never
said anything about attachments.
Could you please provide full disclosure on what you are doing and stop
leading us on a wild goose chase? Complete and accurate information is a
pre-requisite for posting in newsgroups. Anything less is an abuse of
those
trying to help here.
