Default Address Book not resolving

When typing a name in the to: field of a message, outlook is now making me
click out of the to: box to resolve the name. On my previous computer it
would allow me to confirm the resolved name instantly. I have organized my
contact folder first name, then last, and I am still struggling... My
preferences in the outlook options are set for automatic name checking, and
"suggest names". Please help!!!

Thank you,
Andrew M. Reed
