Renaming multiple .jpgs to be sequential numbering
Hello. I have a folder of pictures that I would like to bring into a
powerpoint slide presentation as a new slide show along with the caption. Unfortunately, the pictures are all named different things. I would like to be able to rename them so that the caption is sequential numbering (almost like legal bates numbering). For example, Picture 00001, Picture 00002, etc. and have that caption show underneath each picture. Any ideas besides renaming each individual .jpg before importing? Thank you. Elf |

In Windows XP. Have all slides in a folder, select them all and go to FILE
RENAME. Rename a picture for example mypic 1.jpg and all the others will be named in order mpic 2.jpg etc "elfmajesty" wrote: Hello. Well that is just fabulous and simple! Here I was messing about with command
lines and overthinking the whole thing. Thank you so much for bringing me back to the basics. : ) Cheers, Elf "John Wilson" wrote: In Windows XP. I should have said that for the neatest effect call the first slide something(1).jpg the brackets help as you'll see. "elfmajesty" wrote: Well that is just fabulous and simple!
