Moved a copy of Visio from a computer with xp to vista. After getting it
installed, many of the shape templates are not available such as process,
mechanical, etc. I have been unable to find them to load. Thanks

All of the stencils and templates are stored in the folder as appropriate
for the Visio version. With Visio 2007, the default location is at
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\1033 (for English, other
languages have a different code). With Visio 2003, the default location
was C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Visio11\1033.

Did you have any errors in the installation on the Vista system? If you
did, there will be entries in the Setup logs in your temp directory that
might help.

You could also try searching using Windows Desktop Search for files with
the extension VST (templates) or VSS (stencils) to map out where the files
are located.
