Default Security

I have set up a database (I'm a new user of access) with the aid of Sams
Teach Yourself Access 200. It has been quite successful so far (with a
little help of the group. It has attracted some interest from a third party
who may want to buy it, with some modification. I am worried that he may try
to copy it and threfore want to set security. I have followed the
instructions in my book but to date all I have acheived is every time I enter
Access, my database or just a blank database, I am asked for a password. The
user is SEIAdmin and I just enter passed the password as I have not done
that. How do I deactivate this logon and how can I protect my database from
being copied

Thanks

I don't have the SAMS book, so I don't know what they have had you do.
However, MS has a Security FAQ that should answer most of your questions.
You can find it he
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;207793 . Read it
through carefully several times.
