Tracking Employee Availability
Hi,
I have been trying to figure this out myself but just can't figure out the best way to track employee availability. Employees dictate their schedule so I need to capture daily availability along with a start time and end time for each work day they can work. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? I have a feeling this is real simple but I just can't think it through right. Thanks |

Tracking Employee Availability
You should be able to store availability in a table like;
tblEmpAvail ============ eavEAvID autonumber primary key eavEmpID foreign key to tblEmployees.empEmpID eavDate date available eavFromTime eavToTime -- Duane Hookom MS Access MVP "norma59" wrote in message ... Tracking Employee Availability
That was the direction I was going but am confused over how to capture the availability date. I wanted to use a list box in the subform to pick the day of the week as text (Monday,Tuesday, etc.). How would I do this if the field is Date/Time? I want to be able to query this information to schedule these employees by entering a schedule start date and end date. Thanks!

Tracking Employee Availability
It wasn't clear that you were looking for values like Monday or Tuesday. You
might want to look at the Recurring.mdb found at http://www.rogersaccesslibrary.com/O...p#Hookom,Duane. This helps build recurring schedules. If that doesn't work, then come back with better specifications. -- Duane Hookom MS Access MVP "norma59" wrote in message news That was the direction I was going but am confused over how to capture the availability date.
