Default cannot convert to pdf

Also, I converted to pdf via another route in Publisher (Publsih as pdf or
xps), but two of my pictures have some strange overlay (that isn't in the
original file--I checked) and my logo (a simple line-art jpeg file) looks
really shaky--it looks great in the pub file, and so do the pictures.

I still can't convert/save/print whatever, and primoPDF won't install

Neither is the case, and I have tried a couple of discs. If I try to save

my
computer, it tells me that the drive/folder is inaccessible or the
filename

The error message was; "I won't install"...?
What OS are you using? If XP are you logged in as Admin?

xp. I don't actually log in to the computer as I'm the only one that uses it.
But I think I am automatically on as HP Adminstrator. That is where most of
my files get saved.

With Primo you "print" a PDF not save.
Can you send the file to me, I will convert it with Acrobat.

Take a look at Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes

Is Primopdf listed?

If it is, try opening any file of any program and select

File,
Print
In the printer listed, click on the down arrow and see if Primo is listed.

If it is, select it and OK

It should create the pdf file and ask you where to save it.

Yes, much like a Kinko's file prep tool would. The thing is, it doens't
prompt me to save it. I am going to reinstall it for the third time and see
if it works.

Wait! You don't "save" to Primo. Use File - Print - and then change the
printer to PrimoPDF. Follow the prompts from there.

It seems primopdf is already installed.

DO NOT SAVE FILES!

PRINT THEM!! SELECT THE PRIMOPDF PRINTER!

See ==================== below, again.

Yes. I have installed all the possible MS add-ins. When I look at Tools/

that, but it still didn't solve the problem.
I tried using PrimoPDF but it won't install on my computer ofr some reason.

As I have mentioned in this group before (possibly in the thread you
reference), the PDF add-in doesn't appear in Tools Add-ins as it is
not a COM add-in, just a modification that enables Publisher's PDF code.

The Save As PDF feature is available on the File menu.

You cannot/should not save directly to a CD. Some software allows this
(sort of) but this normally causes more harm than good.
