PowerPoint projection from my Inspiron (with video clips)
For years, I have used mpeg video clips with various laptops, various
versions of PowerPoint, and various projectors. But on my new Dell Inspiron, when it is time to project a slide with a small video picture (about 5 inches by 5 inches), a full screen of the video is projected. The remainder of my slide (text, etc.) cannot be seen. I can copy the PowerPoint file (along with the mpeg files), go to another computer, and it works fine. Help. |

You have to toggle the display so that it runs only on the projector, not on
both the projector and the laptop. This isn't specific to Dell systems -- it does happen on others as well -- but I see this all the time on our Dell laptops at the office. Toggling to projector display only is the only reliable workaround I've found. -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com "Simple Chemist" Simple wrote in message news For years, I have used mpeg video clips with various laptops, various versions of PowerPoint, and various projectors. Hi,
This often happens when graphic card of a computer is set to display overlay at a full screen. Quite often for nvidia and ati based cards. I don't know what graphic adapter your laptop use but, in display settings, try to find overlay controls For ATI cards, right click on desktop; PropertiesAdvancedOverlayClone Mode Options Then and set Overlay Display Mode option to "Same an all" Unfortunately Not all version of drivers have this on the same place. Hope this helps. Regards, ZEX "Simple Chemist" Simple wrote in message ... For years, I have used mpeg video clips with various laptops, various versions of PowerPoint, and various projectors.
