Excel - Import External Data from Access
I am importing MS Access query results into Excel using
Data, Import External Data, Import Data. I select the database and the query to import to a named range within Excel. I am using the same process to import many queries and have automated the entire process to pressing a button. The problem is that Excel creates its own named ranges during my automated process. The named ranges created start with the name of the database being imported followed by a sequential number (i.e. Sales_1, Sales_2...) If I try to delete these named ranges, the Database Import Query is deleted and I must rebuild the Import External Data query. Most of the queries I import work fine, but 6 are really causing problems. Any suggestions or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. VLeonard |
