Default How to extract original data from a pivot table?

Hi,

I have an xls sheet that just has the pivot table but no data sources. I managed to extract data by double-clicking on a data field. If I make it so that there is one data field, I can extract all the data. However, there are a few fields in the pivot table field list that do not come up in the extracted data. So, I have two questions:

1. How do you create fields that are not represented in the base dataset?
2. How do you get the data from these fields?

C. Magnus
PS: I know a complicated way of extracting them--filtering the pivot table by each value of one of those fields, and then adding the field manually, then merging the data. I obviously don't want to go through this looooooooong loop. I have many data fields.

Your problem seems a bit strange because if the data is there your
should be able to access it by clicking on a suitable summary value.
eg. to extract all the data doubleclick the Gross Total amount.

You should also be able to access fields by clicking in the pivot table
and using menu 'Data/Pivot Table Report' which opens the wizard with
all the fields.

Perhaps there are calculated fields ?
