Default Time Zone Scheduling

Our firm is a recent convert to Outlook/Exchange from Lotus Notes/Domino. I
have found Outlook is able to do everything Lotus Notes did at or above the
same level with the exception of one thing. Scheduling meetings that cross
time zones. Lotus had a simple process of checking a box to specify meetings
taking place in two separate time zones. This was especially helpful for
those online presentations that take place on Mountain or Pacific time and
your in the Eastern time zone. Notes would automatically convert a Pacific
or Mountain time zone (based on selection of time zone from drop down lists)
into the default time zone for your locale. Worked like a champ and you
didn't have to spend time trying to figure out the time zone differences.
This is especially helpful in areas were times zones are different for only
part of the year such as Indiana East and Eastern time zones. The current
implementation in Outlook involves adding a second time zone and having to
change it for each type of entry your booking. It would be much easier to
have a check box to specify a different time zone and then add that time zone
to the meeting or appoint. Then outlook could take care of everything in the
background. Much more user friendly than what is currently done in Outlook.
