Default Why can't I upgrade to Access 2003 with Office 2003 installed

I have MS Office 2003 (student pack) installed & wish to upgrade with Access
2003. System won't let me - it wants Office 2000 instead? How can I get round
this?

i didn`t have much problem converting access97 to acc2003.
Before you do these you should use the converter analizer,
i used the conbverter tha acces2003 has on Tool`s.
And also activated some reference library, this is very
important for a database, read it on
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/825796 "References that
you must set when you use Microsoft Office Access 2003"

I don't believe that the Student edition of Office 2003 is a qualifying
product for the Access 2003 upgrade installation.

Only by purchasing Access2003, I'm afraid! Access is not included in
the Student Pack, but only in the Office Pro suite.
