Default How to create a Mouse Over/Hi-lighted word.

You will get a ScreenTip if (a) you have balloons disabled and/or (b) you're
viewing the document in Normal view. But this is why a Comment was not my
first suggestion.

Alternatively, you can use a Comment, which does cause the word
to be highlighted and to display a ScreenTip on mouseover, but
this is implemented differently in later Word versions (in Word
2002 and 2003 the word will be marked by very light colored
brackets instead of being highlighted), and sometimes the
ScreenTip is balky about displaying.

Suzanne, when I try this in Word 2002, I get a balloon with the
comment, which I cannot eliminate without also eliminating the
brackets around the word, and I do not get a screen tip. How would
one get the screen tip and not the balloon?

Remove spaces, and substitute digits for the words between " ' "
