A client of mine has asked if it is possible in Excel
(2002) to make a bar chart, where the width of each bar is proportionate to the value of it's point data. I have tried without success Any help would be appreciated Thanks Lynne |

I have tried without success I do not know an easy way to do it. It would be possible to draw each of the bars (columns) by yourself using an XY scatter chart, scaling the width of the bar along with the height. But filling the columns with colors and patterns might be a real chore.... Dave dvt at psu dot edu |

This isn't a straightforward procedure, but Stephen Bullen shows how to do this in the FunChart5.xls example on his web site (http://bmsltd.co.uk). - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier/Excel/index.html _______ Lynne wrote: A client of mine has asked if it is possible in Excel (2002) to make a bar chart, where the width of each bar is proportionate to the value of it's point data.
