Default Solution to Cannot Start MS Outlook. Unable to open Outlook Window

This was my problem.

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window.
The set of folders could not be opened."

My solution.

Search for a file called scanpst.exe. It is the inbox repair tool. Run it
and it will ask which pst file you want to scan and repair. Browse to the
outlook data directory in documents and settings and click start. When it
finishes click repair.

voila, problem solved.
