Default Office 2003 set up

I installed office 2003 from a laptop that crashed. When word set up began
it asked for the key. I typed the key and the message popped up that the key
is invalid. How do I get a valid key?

Is office a retail version or supplied with your old PC?
And if retail version did you first uninstall any Trial?
