Default outlook express icon bar missing

Hi I have a friend who is using windows XP Home and outlook express 6. I got
a phone call from her saying that the icons (send cut copy paste undo etc on
the email message form and new post reply group etc on the outlook express
window) were missing. After trying unsuccessfully to get her to put a tick
against VIEW/ TOOLBARS/ STANDARD BUTTONS I went to see her. I found out that
both the outlook express window and the message window did not look the same
as mine i.e. instead of the raised line at the left hand side of the menu
and title bar there was a dotted line and by placing the cursor over this
dotted line until it changed into a double ended arrow I was able to drag
and then view the missing menu items and icons. So can anyone suggest what
she has done to change the appearance and action of these 2 windows?

Thanks Tricia

You dragged the toolbar's bottom line down. Sounds like she'd pushed it up.
