ADE Packaging Wizard CD
I have used the Access Developer Extensions Packaging Wizard to create a CD
that will install my application's FrontEnd plus a Runtime Version of Access. My client has 2 computers that have the full version of Access and two computers without Access. I have used the CD to install the package on those computers without Access successfully. Can I use the same CD to install on the computers with Access or will the runtime version overwrite the full version. Don't want that to happen!!! I guess if I can't use the CD on the computers that have Access, I should create another one that has the FrontEnd on it and just have them do a copy and paste. Thank you for whatever insight you can provide. Mary |

ADE Packaging Wizard CD
If you install the complete package it installs the Access runtime version,
even if there's already a version of Access installed on the pc. The mdb, mde and mda files will be associated with the runtime so double clicking on an mdb will open it in the Access runtime. Just copy the db files, any custom activex controls and any custom files you made onto the pcs with Access. They don't need the rest of the package.
