Default Producer 2003 vs Impatica

I am updating to Power Point 203 to get the additional features and notice
that Producer 2003, a free add on, sounds very similar to Impatica. Can
anyone enlighten me as to the comparative advamtages. I like Impatica because
its very high compression makes presentations load quickly and does not
require the viewer to have or install any other softwa Impatica's reader
is built in. Even though Proucer 2003 is free vs a $300 or $400 price for
Impatica, I would not want to lose those Impatica benefits.
On the other hand, Producer 2003 seems to offer the ability to modify the
presentation in Producer rather than having to go back to the source file.
Any guidance would be appreciated

Producer doesn't create small files. The files run in a browser, but they
can be quite large.

Also, if you have to make changes to the slides, you'd still have to go back
to the original PPT file.
