As Milly states you are in the wrong newsgroup. May I suggest that you use a newsreader such as Outlook Express to access Microsoft newsgroups. In Outlook Express add msnews.microsoft.com to the News accounts. As to your question. Some USB devices must be disconnected from Windows before you can safely physically disconnect the device's USB cable. Such devices appear on the list for Safely Remove Hardware icon. If you ever plan to unplug the USB cable for your device {while in Windows}, then you use select the device from the Safely Remove Hardware list and disconnect it from Windows. If you never plan to unplug the device while in Windows, the you can hide the icon. Don |
