Default Missing Page Breaks

Anyone have experience with pagebreaks not showing up in normal view - you
can type and type and type and the page break just doesn't appear. If you go
to print layout view, then back to normal view, the page breaks suddenly
appear. However, if you continue typing, the breaks still don't show up.
Also, if you go to any of the pages and type before the page break, the
page-break just continues to move further down the screen, and has absolutely
no relation to the actual length of the page. Only until you switch to print
preview or print layout view, will the page breaks fix themselves, but once
you go back to normal view, they stop working again. I have uninstalled
office, reinstalled it, removed the normal.dot, taken the normal.dot from
other PC's that work normally, all to no avail.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Try Tools | Options | General, and make sure "background repagination" is
checked.

Normal view doesn't bother with page breaks unless you explicitly tell it to
check, and even then don't depend on them, they are just general indicators.

Default Missing Page Breaks

Hey Daiya!

Just *after* I posted this, I saw your other post about the background
repagination and the article. I ended up reinstalling the print drivers and
ensuring the background repagination was checked (which it was) and the
planets have re-aligned!

Thanks muchly!
Tavis
