Default Office ServicePacks/Different Versions of Access,Powerpnt,Word

After conducting an inventory of Office throughout our network I have
discovered Microsoft Office version differences. All my 2000 systems on
the lan running Office 2000 have their winword.exe at 9.0.0.6926 or
higher versions. Those same exact systems have Powerpnt.exe 9.0.0.4527
and Msaccess.exe at 9.0.0.4056.

What could be the cause of these version differences?
(What if I deploy Office 2000 SP3 to all workstations to bring
Powerpoint and Access up to the 9.0.0.66 versions) Would this take Word
backwards?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

The Service Packs incorporate previous individual updates
and hotfixes as well as newly minted updates. Some of those
updates are specific to only one app while others are common
across an Office version. It's not unusual for the build revisions
to differ. This article and the links in it may be helpful to you.
