Outlook2007: We have 2 seperate pc's and I need to export my contacts, import them on my asst's pc, have her make new contacts and revise old one's, copy that new contact file, and import it back into my pc. We need to do this on a continuous basis. I truly need step by step instruction because I've tried to do this for hours to no avail.

Export/Import: Truly needs hand held explanation, please
"Mike" mikec[at]chicagoexport[dot]com wrote in message ... POP email acct. In that case do NOT do any "import/export" at all. How to backup and restore Outlook http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...771141033.aspx There is out-dated information on some of these pages, specifically with regard to Outlook 2003 and 2007. The main points to note: 1. Do NOT use the import/export function to move Outlook data from one version to another - all you need to do is to copy the pst file, with Outlook closed. 2. Do NOT paste the copied pst file into the default location - paste into (for example) your Documents folder and then do File-Open-Outlook Data File within Outlook. |

Mike Get an Exchange account. It will make all this very painless. Your assistant would be able to see and edit your contacts in real-time while you are using the software. They are available as a hosted solution from multiple providers. Microsoft is one such provider, but they have a minimum requirement of 5 users. Apps4rent is another provider with no minimum requirement. -- Leonid S.
