Likewise! My Office Professional edition 2003 has started behaving the same
way. I can not open, create any folders in any of the applications. Application stops responding and the error message is always hungapp. I can open my files via MS windows expplorer. I have run virus checker, MS spyware, etc, etc and nothing is found. Can any one help? "Frustrated" wrote: Started behaving like this suddenly. MS Office freezing during "Open" or "Save as" is often caused by unused or
dissconnected mapped network drives. Simply unmap these drives and Office should work fine. "Tom [Pepper] Willett" wrote in message ... DO NOT change registry or uninstall Office. As Dave Peterson wrote in "Excel
and Word Hang Up..." a quick and simple fix can be found at http://www.techweb.com/wire/security/185303742. Don't know how it works but it does. Page two of the article gives a link to "Kellys Korner" for the fix. It worked perfectly. Karl, I tried the site, but the message was that it could not be found. I am
having the same problems as the others with both word and excel. Would you have a copy of the fix? Shaney "Karl Drexel" wrote: DO NOT change registry or uninstall Office.
