The server settings have changed. You should have been notified.

1. On the Servers Tab,
a. Change the Incoming mail (POP3) and Outgoing mail (SMTP) settings
to:
i. Incoming mail FROM pop3.email.msn.com TO pop3.live.com
ii. Outgoing mail FROM smtp.email.msn.com TO smtp.live.com
b. Uncheck the "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" box
c. Ensure your full e-mail address is included under "Account Name"
e.g.

2. On the Advanced Tab,
a. Change the port number for Incoming Mail (POP3) from 110 to 995
b. Check both the boxes that indicates
"This server requires a secure connection (SSL)"

I would suggest asking in the MSN newsgroup then. Since you're posting
through the Web Interface:

Default Setting up OE 6

latest update: at msn mail i have 2 choices to write mail - msn oe or msn
mail. if i select msn oe the mail will not send. if i select msn mail it
goes. i can not receive mail from msn in oe6. i have set it up to receive
my sbglobal.net mail and everything works there, just no msn mail. i have to
go on the web and read my mail there. any suggestions or recommendations? i
somewhat a novice at setting up accounts so how to i set up the http: in oe6?

Set up OE to access your MSN mail via http: if you are a subscriber. If it is a
free account, you will probably not be able to use OE6 to access MSN/Hotmail.
The instructions below only apply for a legacy POP account for MSN mail, which
tends to be fairly rare.
An alternative for accessing free Hotmail/MSN accounts via http is the Windows
Live Mail client which is currently in beta - http://get.live.com
