"microsoft office powerpoint has stopped working"
I have a PowerPoint presentation that has movies in it. When I play the slide
show, I get the error message "Microsoft office PowerPoint has stopped working...." at certain point. If I play the slide show very slow, the problem may not show up. If I remove the movies, it works fine. Does anyone know what is wrong with it? It seems this only happens in Windows Vista. I tried the same presentation on a Windows XP computer, it works fine. Thank you very much for any help! |

Guy,
Try some other ways: Burning the presentation to video or DVD may works. Office PowerPoint 2007 does not support the direct burning of content to any DVD formats. As an alternative, copy your presentation to a folder, and then use DVD-burning software to import the content and create a DVD. DVD-burning software, such as PPT to DVD Burner(http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt_to_dvd/),it will retain the original music, animation, movie clips, and slide transitions in PowerPoint presentations, and may addresses your issue. "microsoft office powerpoint has stopped working"
Hi
It sounds like maybe a codec issue on the Vista machine (but I'm no expert...). I would start by looking at the tutorials he http://www.playsforcertain.com/tutorial.htm Or try the PFCPro trial: http://www.playsforcertain.com/download.htm Lucy -- Lucy Thomson PowerPoint MVP MOS Master Instructor www.aneasiertomorrow.com.au "cmmppt" wrote in message ...
